The Dates

The wedding is on Friday 2nd October, 2026. We recommend you arrive at least the day before. Celebrations will continue on Saturday the 3rd with a boat trip and beach day. We'd love if you could stay for that.

the venue

The wedding ceremony and reception will take place at Nimborio Bay on Symi. It's sometimes called Emporio Bay, or Nimborios. It's a stunning, secluded spot with gorgeous views.

the vibe

Forget 'normal' weddings. Our day will be a chilled-out affair with a boho, beach-bar vibe. No stuffy suits or boring speeches. Think rustic tavernas, gorgeous Greek food, lashings of retsina and a touch of Mama Mia magic.

HOW TO GET TO SYMI

The nearest major island is Rhodes and you can fly there from most UK airports. Take a ferry or a catamarn from Rhodes to Symi, which takes 1.5hrs or 45mins respectively.

Allow one hour to get from Rhodes airport to the ferry terminal.

You can make the journey in one day if you get a really early flight from the UK. But we'd recommend having an overnight in Rhodes old town, which is a beautiful medieval city.

It's really easy and inexpensive to book your ferry from Rhodes to Symi. Visit www.ferryhopper.com for times and prices.

OVERNIGHTING IN RHODES?

There are loads of gorgeous boutique hotels. We recommend the delightful Sperveri hotel(www.sperveri.gr) which is in a great location for restaurants and very close to the old town. It's about a 20 minute walk to the port for the ferry.

WHERE TO STAY IN SYMI

Symi is a small island with a picture-perfect port called Symi town (sometimes called Gialos - its Greek name) which is where the ferry arrives. The wedding will take place at a villa in the stunning Nimborio Bay, which is a short taxi ride or boat trip from Symi town.

We would love you to stay in Nimborio Bay, which will make everything really easy. But there aren't many accommodation options so the next best thing is Symi town.

Please avoid staying in the other bays as transport will be tricky.

The hotel at nimborio

There is only one hotel in Nimborio Bay. Niriides Hotel is a beautiful collection of rooms and apartments, built into the hillside of Nimborio.

We stayed there this year and we loved it! Clean and comfy with friendly staff, lovely food and sensational views. Very reasonably priced.

Niriides hasn’t opened its books for next year yet so you can’t book online. If you’d like to stay there, let us know and we’ll give you their email address.

If you are a lover of luxury, the Niriides may not be sparkly enough for you. We would recommend the Amalthea apartments slightly further along the bay. It's not currently showing availability online, but we have emailed the owners and will update you as soon as we hear back.

If you're stuck, there are dozens of options in Symi town which is a five minute taxi ride away.

wHAT TO PACK

We invite you to travel light. A floaty frock. Pair of shorts. Strappy sandals. But do bring a warm jumper for the evening because it does get chilly in October. If you love swimming, the sea will be warm enough but pack beach shoes because its pebbly.

GETTING AROUND SYMI

The streets of Symi are tight and the locals get around on scooter, which you can rent. Take your pick from getting around on foot, quad bikes, e-bikes, in a little Fiat or Smart car, or even by boat - all available for hire on the island
